Minutes of the March 24th, 2009 meeting

Present:  Ken Hulka (director), Melanie Lyonnais (commissioner), Cheryl Clarke (commissioner), Sue Keglovitz (commissioner)

Absent: Dean Six (commissioner), Chad Parker (commissioner)

Also Present: Richard Munroe (3292 Sheringer Rd.)

Cheryl Clarke called the meeting to order.

In response to Chad’s e-mail inquiry since the last meeting of having a trailer for concession at Pine Park, Ken would like to meet with the soccer representative and Gus.  The vendor would need a 2009 license from the Health Department.

Park usage requests have come in from West Michigan Christian.  Also, a flag football group has requested Sundays, but was turned down as their season would be before the grass was mature enough to handle this activity.  No requests have been received from Fruitport Soccer.

Ken e-mailed Pat Cornelisse regarding amending the current 5-Year Rec Plan and with grant applications and she is willing to assist.

Gus will be returning to work in 1-2 weeks.

The Board agreed to ask Rose to mail the meeting minutes to Dean Six as he has not attended a meeting since taking office.  If no contact is made on behalf of Dean, a follow-up letter will be sent asking his intentions.

Next meeting set for Tuesday, April 28th, 2009 at 6pm at the Township Hall.
