Minutes of the February 15, 2011 meeting

The Board received Departmental Revenues & Expenditures for Fruitport Charter Township period ended 2/28/11 for Fund 208 Park Recreation Fund and Disbursement Reports for 2/1/11-2/28/11.
Gus starts next week. Parking lot gates were open 3/18/11.
Ken is receiving many field requests for baseball, West Michigan Christian and dog show.
Ross wants to put up a temporary t-ball field at the East end of the football/soccer practice field. If soccer needs this area, the board has approved use of the football field. Ken will contact Brian Werschem to discuss the soccer’s needs on 3/23/11. T-ball has approximately 75 participants this year divided into 6 teams. Practices will start the week of 4/11/11. Opening day is Saturday, April 30th.
Beach Baseball has done some field improvements and was promised $1500 from the parks and rec board. Ken received a bill from Ross and will have Rose Dillon cut a check to the company who provided this service. Beach Baseball also plans on painting some fences and bleachers, possibly replace some foul poles and put rubber mats under the batter’s box.
Next meeting set for Tuesday, April 26th, 2011 at 6pm at the Township Hall.
