Jack stated that he’s heard complaints regarding the condition of the pony league field at Farr Field.  Ken will talk to Gus about fixing up this field.

Ken is looking into the rock/plaque for George Pressler at Pine Park.  One company estimated $200-$300 for the rock and additional costs for drilling and attaching the plaque.  Chad knows there is a man who has been making rocks out of concrete for Fruitport Schools.  Ken will look into pricing.

Ken is meeting with the contractors, Thompson Brothers from Dalton Township, on Monday, August 29th at the soccer complex.  The Thompson Brothers bid came well under budget which will allow an additional 4 small fields to be completed in phase one along with parking and 2 large fields.  These fields will be ready for use either Fall 2012 or Spring 2013.  Work on these fields should begin next week.

Someone did donuts causing the field to be uneven at Farr Field.  A kid injured their ankle while running at practice due to the condition of the field.  Ken put posts in at the drive to eliminate access to the field by vehicles.

Jack’s church would like to clean up Pine Park on Sunday, September 11th.  The park would better benefit from a clean-up day once the leaves fall from the trees.  Jack will talk to his church about pushing their clean-up day back.

Next meeting set for Tuesday, September 27th, 2011 at 6pm at the Township Hall.
