PLANNING  COMMISSION REGULAR MEETING
FRUITPORT CHARTER TOWNSHIP
September 20, 2011

Meeting was called to order by Chairman Jacobs at 7:00 p.m.

01.  Members present:  Jeff Jacobs, Mike Michelli Jr., Morrie Dadd, Geoff Newmyer, Mark Lee,
       Randy Lee, Chuck Whitlow
       Members absent:  None

02.  Approval of minutes from August 16, 2011 as presented.

03.  Amendment to agenda:  Move item 07. New Business in front of item 06. Unfinished Business.

04.  Correspondence/Reports – None

05.  Public Comments pertaining to agenda topics – none

06.  New Business

Site Plan / Edgewood Lutheran Church.  Mr. Larry Kallio, member in attendance.  Project includes addition to Church to construct approximate 474 square foot kitchen / storage area and install new exterior siding.

Motion by Michelli, supported by Whitlow to approve the site plan dated September 8, 2011 for Edgewood Lutheran Church for the purpose of an addition for warming kitchen, project located at 2525 E. Pontaluna Rd., parcel 61-15-630-003-0001-00, contingent upon all applicable sections of the ordinance being met.  Where the availability of water and/or sewer exists, all necessary and required easements must be in place before construction begins.  All required County, State and Local agency forms and approvals must be on file with Michigan Township Services before construction begins.  

Additional contingencies:  (1) The fire lane access and the parking lot access must allow fire access no greater than 150’ to any point on the building.  (2) Clearly post “fire lane only – no parking” at the entry and along fire lane.  

Ayes:  Jacobs, Michelli Jr., Whitlow, R. Lee, M. Lee, Dadd, Newmyer        Nays:  None

07.  Unfinished Business

Discussion:  Medical Marijuana Ordinance

Public Comments:  Jeff Eitnier, 1919 Morton, Muskegon, Mi commented several times during the discussion of the ordinance review by the Planning Commission.

The ordinances drafted 8/8/2011 were marked up by Chairman Jacobs for further review by the Township Attorney.

08.  Adjournment

There being no further discussion, the meeting was adjourned at 8:42 p.m.
